Once again good guys at Throatruiner Records did something cool for us unstoppable metal consuming machines! Nesseria - Fractures 2014

French hardcore act NESSERIA's second full-length has landed here just right before end of the year and I'm more than sure that these gentleman will reach lots of TOP lists with this one. "Fractures" ten tracks were mixed at Drudenhaus Studio (Aluk Todolo, Anorexia Nervosa) then mastered at New Alliance East (Converge, Gaza...). For those who are into reading, here's a lyric page. Excellent album and highly recommended!

As We Draw - Mirages 2014

Mirages is the outstanding second full-length from french powerhouse AS WE DRAW. Pursuing their will of constant evolution since 2009, these Laval natives have imposed their unique take on post-metal and noisy hardcore, crafted through ambitious songwriting and disarming live performances. Three years in the making, the follow-up to 2010's Lines Breaking Circles shows a band decided to challenge themselves as much as the listener (if not even more), out of every sub-genres conventions and commonplaces. As a proof, the album starts with the longest track ever wrote by the band. The ten-minutes mudslide that is "The Window" flows from eerie and intricate melodies to overwhelming parts, before descending into an unreal, glacial ending. Order it at Throatruiner Records!

Death Mercedes - Sans Éclat 2013

French spoken hardoce/ punk rockers Death Mercedes with members from bands like Amanda Woodward, Cowards, L'Homme Puma formed back in 2011. The band's debut full-length Sans Éclat features ten melodic crust, screamo tracks. Recorded in June 2013, produced by Francis Caste (Kickback, Comity, Hangman's Chair) at Sainte-Marthe Studio. Highly Recommended!

DIREWOLVES - Aegri Somnia 2014

"Formed in 2011 in Lorient, western France, DIREWOLVES rapidly stood out from the pack by combining both the melodic and the heavy aspects of punk hardcore. Their first full-length Aegri Somnia not only follows the path of their EP Me From Myself, To Banish (2012) but also enhances the spectrum of their sound, browsing through a large range of sub-genres while avoiding their respective clichés. Songs such as "Holy Treason" or "Face The Facts" show the band at their most vehement, colliding unstoppable drumming with heavily metallic-influenced riffs while the end of the record explores more emotionally-charged post-metallic soundscapes. Four years after How Hate Is Hard To Define and a pair of splits, here's the long-awaited second full-length from Toulouse, France's PLEBEIAN GRANDSTAND. Lowgazers marks another impressive step in the band's quest of total aural devastation : armed with new drummer Ivo (Stuntman, PAL…), the four-piece picks the most dissonant and experimental aspects of black metal, hardcore and sludge to create an unreal vortex of desolation.

CALVAIIRE is a hardcore/ violence quartet hailing from France. Their debut full-length "Forceps" recorded with Amaury Sauvé, all ten tracks were tracked in a live setting, resulting in a massive and raw recording. Highly Recommended!
